As I mentioned earlier, I have pretty extensive experience on both sides of the marketing industry. I first started out doing Account Management in public relations, where I wrote my own press releases. Then moved to a marketing consultancy firm for 4 years as a Project Manager, handling creative projects for clients like Nokia and Adobe, before going client-side and working in marketing departments for a couple of industrial and manufacturing companies.
Where did freelancing fit in? Anywhere and everywhere. I made time to find clients, write to their needs, and build my business until it’s able to stand on its own.
This broad experience means that you’re hiring more than a freelance writer. You’re getting a consultant who can see the big picture and make intelligent recommendations, not a mercenary who’ll turn in his work and cash the check.
This broad perspective finds its way into my writing as well, as I’m careful to consider details such as SEO keywords, brand consistency, and accuracy of information.
And yes, I am open to feedback.
